22-Year-Old Killer Stabs 14-Year-Old Sister’s 18-Year-Old Boyfriend To Death And Sets Him On Fire

A 22-year-old man from New York, USA, is currently facing decades behind bars after he reportedly stabbed his 14-year-old sister’s 18-year-old boyfriend to death and setting him on fire.

Adones Betances, the killer, is currently facing 25 years in jail for charges of 2nd-degree murder and manslaughter after the death of 18-year-old Winston Ortiz.

The incident happened on Wednesday this week.

The victim, who is 18, is believed to have been dating the 14-year-old sister of the accused.

Ortiz reportedly identified Adones as his killer before he died.

The younger sister of Adones reportedly ended her relationship with Winston on Wednesday before the 2 men agreed to meet at a building in the Highbridge area of the Bronx later that afternoon.

The New York Post reported that Adones stabbed Winston twice in the back and once in the chest.

He then doused him with petrol and set him on fire.

The screams of the victim alerted the neighbors, who threw buckets of water over him to combat the flames.

Winston told the police that Adones is the one that attacked him.

The 18-year-old boy was brought to a hospital in Harlem, New York, he was pronounced dead there.

Residents have been left shocked by the violent turn of events, while the accused’s family has also been rocked by the crime.

The uncle of Adones said:

This whole thing is like a nightmare. I don’t know why he did it. I don’t know if I can accept that he did that type of thing. That’s the opposite of who he is.

Adones is currently in Jail after the Bronx Criminal Court released the order.

He is currently awaiting trial.
