The poor victim was discovered lying on the footpath by the National Police Officers.

She was found in the rural area of San Antonio, said reports.

Authorities rushed the young girl to a hospital before being transferred to another one.

She is currently recovering from the injuries that she got in the attack.

Authorities arrested Tete, an alias of the man that they arrested, but did not reveal his age, in a forest in the area.

The suspect was placed at the disposition of a judge.

He is accused of raping a child under the age of 14.
