Antonov An-26: Ukraine Military Plane Crash Leaves 22 People Dead With Only 2 Survivors, 1 Missing

The military of Ukraine has confirmed the deaths of 22 people after an Antonov An-26 plane crashed near a city.

According to reports, a military transport plane crashed near the town of Chuguye in the city of Kharkiv, which has caused 6 injuries and 22 deaths.

The police said that the aircraft crashed and burst into flames while it was landing at around 8:45 pm local time.

The fire was extinguished at around 10 pm, said the police.

There were around 23 and 28 people on the plane when the incident happened.

2 people survived the injuries, but they are badly injured.

Authorities believe that there is 1 more survivor for the incident.

The plane had students from the Kharkiv Air Force University, a military training facility.

10 cadets were in the plane and there was this instructor onboard the aircraft for a training flight that went bad.

The plane crashed a distance from the airfield of the Kharkiv Air Force University.

The plane managed to reach a busy motorway.

An official investigation for the plane crash is believed to be underway.
