Couple Left 16-Week Old Twins Alone For 4 Days So They Could Go On A Drinking Binge

A couple from Russia have been charged with murder for going on a four-day lockdown drinking binge leaving their twins alone without food.

The twins are 16-week-old.

Their baby son was in a coma and died in hospital after they were found by their grandmother.

The kids were reportedly gravely emaciated when they were brought to a hospital.

The other twin, who is a girl, is fighting for her life at a hospital in Russia’s Kamchatka region.

23-year-old Margarita Yanayeva, the mother, told her friends that the babies were in the hospital with COVID-19.

35-year-old Alexey, her partner, left the 2 kids locked at the home alone as they partied out for 4 straight days.

It is believed that the 16-week-old boy died from starvation and his twin sister is desperately weak in intensive care.

A police officer said:

In the course of four days they were not feeding the children, and did not arrange alternative care for them.

The children were later found by their grandmother because the couple was not picking up her phone.

She called the police right after finding the children.

The couple is facing 20 years in jail if they get convicted of the murder of the helpless twin boy.

They are also facing charges for failing in their parental duties and subjecting their children to danger.
