Massive Sinkhole Opens Up In Western China And Swallows 21 Cars

A shocking video that was shared on social media shows the terrifying moment a huge sinkhole opened up in South Western China.

It was reported that 21 cars were swallowed by the sinkhole.

According to authorities, no one was hurt as the street gave away just after midnight on Wednesday.

It was reported that the incident happened outside a shopping mall on Cuibai Avenue in Yibin, a city that has around 5.5 million people.

Yibin City is located in the Sichuan Province of China.

State media reported that nearly 500 meters of the road suddenly gave way, which left a giant sinkhole in its place.

CCTV footage that was shared of the incident showed the moment the ground started to crumble with cars started to fall right into the hole.

Rescuers were sent to the street to look for victims.

Officials said that no one was found to be injured.

The cause of the collapse is currently being investigated by the authorities.

Experts have examined the ground near the site and said that it is safe to be used by people in the area and traffic that is passing by.
