A 36-year-old woman church teacher was jailed after she had sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old boy on a driveway and inside her own house at least 10 times.

The woman is nearly 20 years older than the boy.

36-year-old Courtney Bingham met the teen at the Bethany Baptist Church in Loudon, Virginia.

She worked as a youth leader.

The age of consent to have sexual intercourse is 18.

The boy told the police that he and the woman had sex at her home and in her driveway at least 10 times.

Bingham also sent sexually explicit images of the 2 having intercourse.

Most of the images that they took were taken at the house of Bingham.

He said that she had been supervising the teenager when he was still a member of a youth group at the church where she was a leader.

The teacher was given a 12-year sentence for the crimes that she had done.

The woman was facing four counts of aggravated statutory rape and one count of solicitation of a minor to commit statutory rape by an authority figure.

The woman will also be placed on the sex offender registry for the rest of her life and will be monitored closely by the authorities.
