Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited released a notification for engagement of trade apprentice under the apprentice act-1961. A total of 142 vacancies of comprising fitter, welder, electrician etc. posts under this trade are to be filled. For these posts, online applications can be submitted from 10:30 AM on 30th July to 12th August Midnight.

CPCL Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: as on 1st July 2018, candidate must not be older than 24 years and must not be younger than 18 years. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ ST candidates while 3 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualifications: There are different requirements for different posts (aspirants should check the notification out for more details).

But, for all the trades, qualification must be from a recognised university as a full time, regular course and candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks (if belonging to general or OBC category) and at least 45% marks if belonging to SC /ST / PwBD category.

Note: Candidates possessing ITI must possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) recognized by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) as well.

Physical Standards (For Security Guard Posts Only):

• Height 170 cm for male and 155cm for females (5cm relaxation for SC/ ST, hill domicile candidates).
• Eye SIght: Minimum distant vision should 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes without correction.
• Chest: Normal 81 cm and 85 cm after expansion (for males only).

• Applicants must possess a valid email address that is to be entered.
• Once the process gets completed, a registration ID and slip will be generated. Candidates must keep both of these safe for all the future preferences.

Requirements before filling application form:

• A candidate shall have a PAN Card and Aadhar Card.
• Applicant must possess a bank account & cheque book with their names printed
• Email ID and phone number which must be live for at least one year. These will be used to communicate with candidates for further proceedings (as stated by the administration).

Candidates will be selected for the posts on basis of the marks scored in the respective diploma/ degree/ ITI. If more than one candidate secured the same marks, then performance of 10th standard will be figured out.
