HPCL Recruitment 2018: Fire and Safety Officer Vacancies, Apply Online

HPCL Recruitment 2018 notification released. There are a total of 11 Fire & Safety Officer vacancies that are to be filled. The selection procedure includes five proceedings – Written Test, Group Task, Personal Interview, and Final Scoring. Online application forms will be commenced for the posts on 31st July and will be ended up on 31st August.

HPCL Recruitment 2018 Application Form

First of all, all the contenders should note that Corporation will only accept the online application filled HPCL website www.hindustanpetroleum.com.

  • At first, visit the official website of the corporation.
  • Then, choose the careers present on the top menu.
  • After that, select the “View Available Positions” link.
  • There, the link will be activated on 31st July to apply online.
  • Once the link will be enabled, contenders will have to make registration first. 
  • Later on, logging in to the account will be required to fill the application form.

Application Fee:

  • General and OBCNC candidates need to pay Rs. 590/- (Application fee of Rs. 500/- and GST@18% of Rs. 90/-).
  • SC and ST candidates are exempted from the application fee payment.

Fee payment can be done using two ways prescribed by the corporation. 1. Payment through challan at State Bank of India (SBI) and 2. Payment using debit/ credit cards.

HPCL Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 27 years as on 31st July 2018 which must not be exceeded in any condition. 

Educational Qualifications


  • Applicant must have completed Full-time regular BE/ B Tech in Fire Engineering or Fire & Safety Engineering from AICTE approved / UGC recognized University / Deemed University with at least 60% marks (aggregate of all semester exams) if belonging to General and OBCNC category and 50% for SC/ ST candidate.

Job Specifications:

For Male contenders:

  • Height: 165 CM
  • Weight: 50 Kg
  • Chest: Normal: 81 CM, Expanded: 86.5 CM

For Female applicants:

  • Height: 157 CM
  • Weight: 46 Kg

Minimum Qualifying Marks Required In All Stages:

Written Test: the exam will be divided into two sections – domain and aptitude. Minimum 50% marks required for all category students. Overall (of both the sections), 60% marks required for Unreserved category while 54% for SC/ ST/ OBCNC candidates.

Group Task: Minimum marks required – 40% for UR and 33.33% for SC/ST/ OBCNC.

Personal Interview: UR: 40% and reserved categories: 33.33%.

Final Scoring: In this portion, combined marks of all the tests will be calculated and minimum 60% marks required for Unreserved Category candidates and 54% for SC/ ST/ OBCNC.
