IHBT Recruitment 2018, 15 Project Assistant Level II Posts, Check Eligibility Criteria

Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology made a notification public regarding the recruitment. To select the best professionals, the Institute will conduct the walk-in interviews on 9th and 10th August. As per the notification, candidates can get the application form from the official website that is to be submitted at the time of walk-in interview. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria first and check whether they are able to do so or not.

IHBT Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

1. Project Assistant Level II (05 posts):

  • Candidate must have a master degree with 55% marks in Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences.
  • Candidates with experience in the area of natural product chemistry, isolation and chemical profiling and separation of biomolecules from plants will be given more preference.

2. Project Assistant Level II (10 posts): Education qualifications for these posts are different from the above one. 

  • Applicant must possess a master’s degree in – Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Agriculture/ Life Sciences AND Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Pharmacology/ Toxicology/ Pharmacognosy/ Pharmaceutics. AND B.Tech in Food Science & Technology OR Food Science & Technology/ Biochemistry.
  • Preference: Candidates with experience in: 1. Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical Formulation, Molecular Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics studies. 2. Life Sciences: Culturing and cultivation of mushroom/ molecular biology/ in vitro plant metabolite production. 3. Food Science and Technology: development and biochemical analysis of food/ nutraceutical products. OR one year experience in area of food product formulation after B. Tech in food science and technology.

Important: For the posts given in the sequence above, the interview will be held on 9th August for only five posts under (1) and on 10th August for 10 posts under (2). Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years as on 9th and 10th August respectively.


During the interview, candidates need to bring the application form along with the attested photocopies of required documents for their testimonials of age, educational qualifications, experience, reserved category etc. Candidate must also bear the original documents as well.

The recruitment organising body can conduct the written test (if needed) as well followed by interview which shall be conducted on the same day after the test.

Aspirants must submit their forms with correct information. Incomplete or incorrect application summarily be rejected.
