For one year duration on contract mode, Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) is offering a great opportunity for those who want to join the enterprise. The organisation needs 33 members to contribute in its projects. Posts to be filled are Project Scientist B, Project Scientist C, Project Assistant, Project Coordinator, Project Junior Office Assistant. Applications for these posts can be submitted through online mode. Forms must be submitted in the prescribed format (as given in the notification) before 31st August.

First of all, candidates must check out the eligibility criteria in the notification so that they can recognise whether satisfying all the conditions or not.

Age limit:

  • Scientist C: Candidates must not exceed 40 years.
  • Scientist B: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
  • Project Assistant: 28 years.
  • Project Junior Office Assistant: 32 Years.
  • Project Co-ordinator: Upper age limit is 30 years.

Candidate age must be lower than the maximum limit as on 31st August 2018.

The recruitment body requires different qualifications for different posts and thus, candidates must check all the details in the notification.

Selection Procedure

Project Junior Office Assistant: 

  • Multiple choice questions are to be asked in the written test.
  • Topics: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
  • Exam comprises of total 100 marks.

Project Co-ordinator:

  • selection of candidates will be done on the basis of written test and skill test for these posts.
  • Each test will be of 50 marks.
  • The written exam will be objective type with multiple choices.
  • The skill test includes Shorthand dictation: 10 mts @ 80 w.p.m. (English) and Transcription: 50MTS (English) on computer.

Project Assistant (Scientific / Technical):

  • An objective type written the examination of 100 marks in total will be conducted.
  • It is divided into two parts – Part A: General Knowledge and Aptitude, Numerical Ability and General English of 60 marks and Part B: General Science (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science ) for Graduates and General Engineering for Diploma candidates of 40 marks.

Scientist B & C:

  • Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of interview.
  • But, if the number of applications is large, then 1/4th of the total applications will be shortlisted on the basis of the screening test.
