Recently, the Indian Bank has made an announcement regarding the recruitment as Probationary Officer in the Bank. The bank is offering a great opportunity for graduates who are interested in Banking Career. For the recruitment, eligible candidates need to qualify preliminary examination first followed by mains test and interview. After that, applicants will be selected for one year course in Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB).

Category wise vacancies are classified as follows:

  • SC – 62,
  • ST – 31,
  • OBC – 112,
  • General – 212.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Limit: Candidate must have attained 20 years of age at least and must not be older than 30 years as on opening date of registration. 5 years of age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe category, 3 years for OBC candidates, 15 years for SC/ ST Person with benchmark Disabilities, 13 years for PWD OBC & 10 years for PWD General and relaxation is applicable as per the rules of government for ex-serviceman.
  • Educational Qualifications: Applicant must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

How To Apply: no other method other than online application submission will be entertained. Candidates can fill the forms out from 1st August and must submit it before 27th August. Candidates must enter a valid email address which should be active till the ending of procedure as call letters for the exams will be sent using this ID. Updates regarding the recruitment will also be provided through this email address. Before applying online, candidates should keep scanned images of photograph and signature (not in capital letters).

  • Candidates must visit the “careers” section on the official portal – www.indianbank.in.
  • Then, they need to hit the “Recruitment of probationary officers through onboarding” link.
  • After that, applicants must make registration by entering some basic details.
  • Later on, a registration ID and password would be generated which must be noted by each and every candidate. These will also be sent to the registered email address and through SMS on contact number.

Selection Procedure: There will be total three stages to qualify the test – preliminary test, mains exam and the final level – personal interview.
