KSP Recruitment 2018: 517 Special Reserve Police Constable Posts

Karnataka State Police Department is all set to conduct the KSP recruitment 2018 for 517 Special Reserve Police constable posts. The department has invited applications from the interested and eligible candidates from 3rd August. Applicants can apply for the posts till 24th August but the last date of submission of application fee is 27th August. How is the performance of a candidate in physical efficiency test/ endurance test and written examination would be the main factor for selection.

Eligibility Criteria:

Before going to apply online for the posts, contenders must check out the notification and eligibility criteria and analyse whether they are eligible for the recruitment or not.

Age Limit: Applicant’s age must be between 18 to 25 years while the upper age limit is relaxable upto 2 years for those belonging to SC, ST, CAT-01, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B and five years for Tribal candidates. Candidates belonging to any of the tribal communities of Siddis, Jenukuruba, Kadukuruba, Yerava, Soliga, Kudiya, Gowdlu, Hasalaru, Malaikudiya, and Koraga, in the forests of Uttara Kannada-Karwara, Dakshina Kannada-Mangalore, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Kodagu, Chamarajanagara and Mysore are considered under tribal community.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have passed the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) from Central Board of Secondary Education, ICSE, SSC, State Board or equivalent.

Candidates can fill and submit their applications online before 24th August. During submission of application form, contenders must keep these documents with them – Document for the proof of date of birth, it can be SSLC or equivalent exam certificate, Caste certificate for those claiming reservation, Discharge certificate/ No objection certificate in case of ex-servicemen and dependant certificate from the competent authority of defence service and letter from Sainik board for those claiming reservation as wards of ex-servicemen and a photograph, signature and photo ID proof.

Candidates belonging to GM or Other Backward Classes need to pay Rs. 250/- as application fee while those belonging to SC, ST, CAT-01 & Tribal need to pay Rs. 100/-. Fee payment should be made in the post office. If a candidate submits more than one application for the same post, only the finally submitted form will be accepted.
