South East Central Railway Recruitment 2018: 313 Apprentice Posts

South East Central Railway invited applications from the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice act 1961. Notification for the same was issued on 16th August and online application submission procedure was commenced on 25th August. Candidates should note that before 6 PM on 15th September, they have to submit the applications.

Selection Procedure: the final selection for the advertised vacancies will be made on the basis of merit that is to be formed using the percentage of marks in matriculation plus ITI marks in the respective trade in which apprenticeship is to be completed.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: The applicant’s age must be in the bracket of 15 to 24 years as on 16th August 2018. The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PwD candidates (Divyang), 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and three years for candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes.


Minimum educational qualifications: The applicant must have passed 10th or matriculation or its equivalent with 50% aggregate marks at least from a recognised board. Must possess National Trade Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by State Council for Vocational Training/ National Council for Vocational Training.

Application Fee: All the applicants have to pay Rs. 100/- as application fee. Once the application is completed, applicant will be redirected to the payment gateway of State Bank of India. In case, any kind of error like loss of internet connectivity occurs while making payment and the amount gets deducted but still unable to download the application, then, candidates must click on “verify payment” to reassure.

The payment can be made using net banking/ credit card/ debit card. After payment, an e-receipt would be generated that should be printed by the candidate.

In case, two candidates have secured the same, then, that candidate will be shortlisted with the older age. If the dates of birth are also the same, then the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier shall be preferred.
