SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2018: Earlier, it was to be delivered by 21st July, but then, the date stretched to 24th and finally, the recruitment notification was out for 54,953 constable GD (General Duty) vacancies was released. These posts are to be filled in various forces like CAPF (Central Armed Police Force), Assam Rifles, NIA (National Investigation Agency), and SSF (Special Security Force). The online forms can be submitted before 24th August.

For this recruitment, candidates will be able to bag an appointment to the posts only if they qualify these four levels of selection procedure – Computer Based Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and then, the medical test. The CBT will be conducted by the Commission while rest of the stages will be arranged by CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces).

Nationality: candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: Applicants age must not be lower than 18 years and must not exceed upper age limit of 23 years as on 1st August 2018. Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable in accordance with the Governments orders on the subject.

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have passed 10th class/ matriculation from any of the recognised boards/ institutions.


How To Apply

  • To make online registration, apply section on www.ssc.nic.in must be chosen.
  • Aspirants can also visit another portal – www.ssconline.nic.in.
  • At first, one-time registration is to be done after which, a registration ID and password will be generated.
  • After registration, applicants need to log in using the obtained credentials.
  • Later on, all the details are to be filled in the forms correctly.

Application Fee:

  • Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) is to be paid as application fee.
  • Woman candidate and those belonging to Schedule Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen (eligible for reservation) are exempted from the fee payment.
  • Payment method: fee can be paid using SBI Challan/ SBI Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard or
    Maestro Credit or Debit card.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded nor adjusted for the fee payment of any other examination.
  • Applications without prescribed fees will summarily be rejected and any requests in this regard will not be entertained.
