UPSC Recruitment 2018: Psychologist, Scientist B, Administrative Officer,Assistant Legislative Counsel Posts

Union Public Service Commission “the central recruiting agency of India” has affirmed for the latest recruitment to the posts of Psychologist, Scientist B, Administrative Officer and Assistant Legislative Counsel posts (13 in total). All the candidates (interested in the recruitment) must submit their online applications before 16th August. Notification for the posts is unveiled today according to which, aspirants can apply from 28th July.

UPSC Recruitment 2018 Online Application Form

  • Applicants are advised to submit the applications through online mode only.
  • ORA (online recruitment applications) are available on www.upsconline.nic.in.
  • Candidates also need to upload the scanned copy of these documents: 10th/ matriculation certificate indicating the date of birth, Degree/Diploma certificate, Caste Certificate, a declaration if seeking reservation as OBC and Physical Handicapped Certificate (if applicable).
  • If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, then separate applications must be submitted along with separate fee payment.
  • After submitting the application form, candidates must take a print out of it.
  • Candidates don’t need to send the hard copy of printed application form to the commission.

UPSC Eligibility Criteria 2018

Administrative Officer:

  • Age Limit: maximum age can be 35 years.
  • Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have completed graduation from any of the recognised University.
  • Experience: Five years’ experience of Administration, Accounts and Establishment work in Government Offices.

Scientist (Toxicology) Posts:


  • Applicant’s age must not be more than 35 years.
  • Educational Qualifications: applicant must have pursued Bachelor of Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects and must be holding Master’s Degree in Chemistry / AIC by examination / Biochemistry / Pharmacology / Pharmacy / Forensic Science.
  • Experience: three years experience required of analytical methods and research in Toxicology in any state government or central government organisation.

Assistant Legislative Counsel Post:

  • Maximum age limit for this post is 40 years.
  • As of qualifications, the aspirant must possess a graduation degree in Law from any of the recognised universities.
  • Experience: a candidate cannot join the recruitment unless he has been a member of a state Judicial Service for a minimum seven year.

Psychologist Posts:-

  • Applicant’s age must be lower than 30 years.
  • Candidate must be holding a master’s degree in Psychology and
  • Three years experience in the application of psychological technique or counselling, guidance rehabilitation/ training/ teaching of handicapped persons.
