To add, he also looks to be in the best shape always in his life. People who follow Virat Kohli on social media would have surely noticed the amount of gym and training sessions he undertakes to do what he does best on and off the field.

Virat Kohli’s greatest contribution to Indian cricket is the awareness that he has created for his fitness level. The next generation of Indian cricketers is currently working on their fitness, in addition to their batting and bowling skills. Death-over specialist Jasprit Bumrah recently surprised everyone with his latest post on Twitter.

With the Indian team taking fitness to Martian levels, Bumrah’s picture just upped the ante as the result of his hard work is clearly visible. Bumrah posted the picture on his Twitter account with the caption that read, “It takes dedication and hard work to consistently improve yourself.”

Now, another Indian cricketer joined the club and he is much acclaimed as the new Indian rock star Hardik Pandya. Apart from the fitness drills, Yo-Yo Test, the Indian team makes sure that they toil it out in the gym. As it is so important that the fitness of a cricketer can be a deciding factor in the selection, some of the players are working out hard at the gym.

After Bumrah, all-rounder Hardik Pandya too flaunted his body in a picture shared by Yuvraj Singh on his social media. Yuvi shared the picture on Instagram and wrote, “Get up get up and #doitagain @jaspritb1 @hardikpandya93 @yuzi_chahal23 @kedarjadhavofficial @dk00019 @akshar.patel”.

The photo was clicked at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. To keep the fitness culture intact, the fact that Indian cricketers will now undergo DNA tests that reveal the genetic fitness blueprint of an individual, raising the bar to a level hitherto unseen, hit the news.

It has been learned that the BCCI has introduced this test on the recommendation of team trainer Shankar Basu so that a more comprehensive fitness program for the national team can be chalked out.
