Dinesh Karthik Comments On Bangladesh Celebrations

Team India wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik’s last ball six in the final match of Nidahas trophy helped India to win the game against Bangladesh and lift the tournament. Until last three overs, the match was on the side of Bangladesh and the hopes of India winning the game are going down the ball by ball.

Then came Dinesh Karthik when India needed 34 runs of all three overs and smashed 16 runs in the 19th over and hit a huge six when India needed 5 runs off the last ball and gave India a memorable 4-wicket win over Bangladesh.

In a press conference after the match, the right-handed wicket-keeper batsman said that Bangladesh is a good cricket team, especially in the sub-continent conditions. He further said that considering Bangladesh has just achieved Test Match status a while ago, they have wonderfully evolved as a team and it can get quite difficult to defeat them in the subcontinent conditions.

Dinesh also said that even if a second-string Indian team is playing, it is always expected from the Team India to win over a better team like Bangladesh.

In the final match, Bangladesh scored 160 runs losing 8 wickets and India chased down the target in all the 20 overs. Bangladesh reached the finals in the tournament defeating Sri Lanka in a do or die match to reach the finals. When the six was hit for the last ball, the crowd in the stadium went crazy cheering for India since it wasn’t expected for India to win the match facing the bowling of Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma laid the foundation for the Indian chase hitting 56-runs and the batsman further played the role to keep the chase going. As the Indians are preparing to witness the ‘Naagin-dance’ by the Bangladesh players, a sign to express after the winning of the match, Dinesh Karthik’s blistering knock in the last three overs helped India win the nail-biting match.
