I Want To Be The Fastest Bowler In The World Says Nathu Singh, A Rising Indian Star

Bowling to BCCI President’s XI specialist team, Nathu Singh looked outstanding with his excellent bowling skills and attracted the viewers eyes on him. 20-year-old Nathu Singh from Rajasthan is a determined young boy and he wants to become the fastest bowler in the world. Nathu took the time to speak about his journey so far and what are his goals and aims to achieve in the future. Nathu got a call to the Board President’s XI team.

Nathu received a call after Indian team selector Sandeep Patil mentioned seeing an “extra spark and extra talent” in the young bowler. “I can bowl at 140-plus. My average speed is about 140. I definitely want to improve my speed. Like I said, I want to be the fastest bowler in the world. I want to bowl at 160-plus,” Nathu said. He is very confident about his future and he looked focused on wanting to stay fit all the time.

So far, many Indian fast bowlers have reduced their pace to increase their long life in the game. Nathu had struggled a lot to become a cricketer and had few good beginnings. Nathu had also spoke about his father’s sacrifice to make him reach where he was now. “I’m from a poor family, and my parents worked really hard. Whatever my dad has earned, he spent on putting me in academies,” Nathu said.

The great achievement for Nathu was to make it to the Board President’s XI. Nathu just made his Ranji debut earlier this season against Delhi. In this season, Nathu played four matches so far and picked up 12 wickets at an average of 29.33. Nathu picked 7 wickets in the second innings of his debut Ranji match. Now he is waiting forward to play against South Africa which is No. 1 team in Tests.

“At first I couldn’t believe that I had been selected, but they showed me the list and that’s how I believed it. I was extremely happy naturally. I had no idea the selectors had me in mind,” Nathu stated. Nathu will hope to trouble the South Africa with his pace at the Brabourne Stadium. This is a nice opportunity to impress the selectors more than he already has.

“I have not thought anything about it except that whichever batsman comes in front of me, I have to bowl well to them. I can’t plan for the South African batsmen as such. What feels right on the ground that day, I’ll bowl in that fashion,” Nathu said.
