Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions are the new teams which are introduced in this IPL season. These are the teams replaced by Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina are leading their teams as the Captains. MS Dhoni who led CSK for 8 long years since the beginning of the tournament is now leading RPS team. CSK is the only team that was qualified to Playoffs in all the seasons of IPL.

But everything changed to Dhoni when coming to Rising Pune Supergiants. He faced a lot of problems since the beginning of this IPL season. RPS team lost many players due to injuries and didn’t perform well. RPS played 14 matches and won only 5 games and stood in 7th place in points table.
