India’s limited-overs skipper, MS Dhoni was hit by a flying bail while he was trying to hit the ball out of the park yesterday. It was a must win match for both India and Zimbabwe teams to seal the T20 Cup. India was struggling to find the momentum against the disciplined Zimbabwe bowlers.

In the 16^th over, Donald Tiripano bowled a soothe ball to Dhoni which he missed trying to hit the ball out of the park. The ball hit the stumps and one of the bails went flying in the air and hit Dhoni’s right eye. However, Dhoni recovered quickly and made the long way back to the pavilion.

Dhoni took to Instagram to share his feeling about the hurt. He posted an image of him with a bloodshot eye. He wrote: “That’s what happens when u get hit by bails, lucky only had to keep wickets with blurred vision and pain.”

Dhoni was really lucky as he was quick to recover. But his performance with the bat is unimpressive. Dhoni scored 9 runs off 13 balls with a single boundary.
