[WATCH] MS Dhoni’s Lightning Strikes Again As He Whips The Bails In A Flash In T20 Match Against Sri Lanka

MS Dhoni, the name is well marked as an excellence in Wicket keeping is nowhere gone, it has been a long tenure for Maahi being the wicket keeper, with no single flaw, he has been proving himself right from the beginning. Considered as one of the greatest ever wicket-keepers, MS Dhoni has produced many stunning acts with the gloves.

Dhoni 99th stumping

We all know him how fast he is behind the stumps. Escaping from MS Dhoni’s lightning fast activity behind the stumps is a very rare stuff. It is almost impossible for any batsmen in the world. Over the years, we have seen Dhoni work very hard on his skills behind the stumps and outfox the opposition batters with his unorthodox moves.

Dhoni has often been said to be faster than the speed of light with his glovework, which we cannot confirm or deny, but in yesterday’s one-off T20 match between India and Sri Lanka, he once again proved why he is rated so highly.

Dhoni 99th stumping in ODI

Young Indian bowler Yuzvendra Chahal got the wicket of Angelo Mathews but the whole credit goes to MS Dhoni. In the 6th over of Sri Lankan innings, Chahal put a bit of flight in his delivery inviting Mathews forward. But the spin on the ball took it past the outside edge and next is as expected.

Mathews’ back foot dragged just a shade outside the crease. Dhoni collected the ball from behind and took off the bails all within the flash of a second. Dhoni was confident and the leg-umpire referred it to the third umpire. The replays showed that Mathews’ foot was still on the line with no part of the toe behind it when Dhoni dislodged the bails.

However, the decision was made and Mathews had to walk back to the pavilion.

Just a few overs later, Dhoni seemed to have got another victim. This time, it was Ahsan Priyanjan but he seemed to have got a little bit of his toe back in the replays. But it was all about fine margins and, had he been given out, Dhoni’s stumping would have had an even bigger impact on the game.

Finally, the visitors who were given a target of 171 had comfortably achieved with the help of Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey’s brilliant fifties. Thus, India wrapped it up by whitewashing the complete tour.
