How could someone forget that fusion of smiles and tears of joy as the country cheered Team India, who became World Champions for the first time on home soil and for the third time in history, the fans stood together in the true bleed blue fashion during the World Cup finals on April 2nd, 2011.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli has talked about the progress in Indian cricket team went saying, “I know there’s a billion-plus hope always riding on our team. That’s why I try to play with responsibility and with respect to the team’s needs. The pressure’s always on, so my focus has to be too.”
Talking about the jersey, Kohli was quoted saying, “I feel really proud – for me, the Three Stars on the jersey represents what the Indian team is today and how much they have achieved. I feel really honored to be a part of a team that has won three World Cups.”
Well, this is definitely a good initiative which every Indian must take pride in.
