In the first T20I against Australia, Virat Kohli had given an aggressive send off to Steve Smith when he took the catch. Virat never goes down in an on-field battle with his opponents. In the ninth over of the innings, he caught Steve Smith off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling and almost instantly gave him an animated send-off. Kohli was standing at extra cover where he took Smith’s catch and made a gesture with his hands.

The real reason behind Virat’s gesture:

Smith was carrying a microphone while batting and was talking to the commentators about Finch. The next ball, Smith hit it to Kohli who got animated and asked him to keep chirping in the microphone. He was upset that Smith was constantly battering in microphone in such a high-profile international match.
