Kohli Reply To Ian Healy Comment:

When a reporter asked Virat Kohli about this, his response was pure gold. Kohli said that one person’s opinion about him does not bother him as there are 1.2 billion people in India alone. Kohli went on to take a dig at Ian Healy and revealed that there is a video on YouTube which will throw light at who respects umpires as well as on maintaining discipline on the field.

For those who are unaware of the issue here it is. Ian Healy had told to Melbourne radio station SEN, “I’m losing respect for him (Kohli). He’s got to be a lot more respectful of his opponents. The stuff he did with Steve Smith was unacceptable.” Virat Kohli responded to this in the post match press conference after brutally trashing the Australians in the second Test.

The Indian skipper in the press conference said, “He (Healy) should look at his own video when he was given out at Centurion. You need to go and search on YouTube when he was given out down the leg side. I heard he said something about me not having a good behavior with the umpires. I think you should YouTube that video and I think it says it all. 1.2 billion people in India. One person’s opinion doesn’t matter.”

Watch the video that Virat Kohli requested to see:

Kohli was referring to the third Test between South Africa and Australia in 1997 at Centurion, which the hosts won by 8 wickets. Ian Healy losing his temper after being dismissed at 12 runs in the 1997 test match against South Africa. Cameras captured Healy angrily throwing his bat upon entering the dressing room at Centurion, and he was suspended from two matches for this rough behavior.

It clearly shows that the skipper knows how to shut down negative comments !!
