OSSC SI Finger Print Syllabus 2015 Exam Pattern: Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has published an employment notification for the recruitment of 06 Sub-Inspector Finger Print vacancies in the State Crime Record Bureau Under The D.G. & I.G. of Police (Home Department). Eligible candidates can apply online from 12-12-2014 to 12-01-2015 by 11.59 PM. Orissa Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) which is set to conduct written exam for recruitment  of Sub-Inspector (Finger Print) in the state crime record bureau under the D.G. & I.G. of Police (Home Department) has provided latest Syllabus and Exam Pattern of SI (Finger Print) Exam. 

OSSC SI Finger Print exam Pattern and Syllabus 2014 - 2015

Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” to give their best in their exams. After sending the application candidates should first know about the exam pattern and syllabus to start their preparation. So, we provided examination pattern and syllabus.

Exam Pattern of OSSC SI Finger Print exam 2014-2015

Written exam will be held for 300 marks.

Paper –I -General English – 50 marks

Paper II- Odia Language – 50 marks

Paper –III- General Studies – 200 marks

Viva-voce-Cum-Psychological Test will be conducted for 30 marks.

While General English and Odia Language will consist of subjective type questions, General Studies will be of multiple choice type in OMR sheet.

Time duration for Paper I and Paper II- 1 hour

Time duration for Paper III- 2 hours

Selection Process OSSC SI Finger Print exam

The candidates will be selected through written test, Physical Test and oral Interview. The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called for an oral interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by the candidates in both written test and oral interview.

Exam Syllabus for OSSC SI (Fingerprint) written test is as follows :

Paper — I : General English (50 marks)

The questions of this paper Will be of descriptive type and to test the candidate’s ability to read and understand serious discursive prose and to express his ideas clearly and correctly in English. The pattern of questions will broadly include the following with graduation standard.
(i) Comprehension of a given passage
(ii) Précis writing
(iii) Usage and vocabulary
(iv) Short essay writing
(v) Questions to test the Knowledge of grammar.

Paper – II : Odia Language (50 marks)

The questions of this paper will be of descriptive type and will broadly include the following.
(i) Comprehension of a given passage
(ii) Letter/Application/Report writing,
(iii) Usage and vocabulary
(iv) Short essay writing
(v) Translation from English to Odia.

Paper – III : General Studies (200 marks)

The questions in this paper will be of objective type (Multiple Choice) to be answered in OMR answer sheet.The nature and standard of questions will be such that a well-educated person should be able to answer them without having specialized study of the concerned subjects. The questions shall test general awareness of the candidates on a variety of subjects covering various fields of knowledge as expected from a graduate with Science background. The questions shall be in English.
