Apple is Rebuilding Apple Maps from Scratch

Apple is building its map app from scratch again. We all know that Apple map is not so good and optimized as Google Maps. Apple always to be best in every project and here after being the best company in the world Apple is still too far behind from Google Maps.

 

 

Apple Maps launch also went poorly, and CEO of Apple also made an apology for the same. They were taking data from third party sources, and this was Apple’s biggest pitfall. The data partnerships of apple were not working well from past few years, and Apple wants to solve this problem.

Eddy Cue Statement

Apple SVP Eddy Cue also mentioned in one of his interviews that Apple wants to make Apple Maps a world class product. That’s why Apple started to re-building the Apple Map from scratch. They said that they want to make an entirely different and new Maps app which will help the user in every perspective and also take care of user’s privacy.

 

 

Apple Maps New Data-gathering System

They decided to develop their new data-gathering systems and stoop using the third-party data gathering services. Apple is working on its new app from past four years, and also they are using data gathered by iPhones, and they are also taking care of people privacy. Apple will introduce this new product in San Francisco with the next iOS 12 beta.


Eddy Cue said, “Since we introduced this six years ago — we won’t rehash all the issues we’ve had when we introduced it — we’ve done a huge investment in getting the map up to par,”. He also mentioned that Apple will also now going to focus updating maps and this will make it more responsive to changes in roadways and construction. They are going to cover each and every detail of place and roads which will help user eventually.

 

 

“We wanted to take this to the next level, and We have been working on trying to create what we hope is going to be the best map app in the world, taking it to the next step. That is building all of our own map data from the ground up.,” Eddy Cue added.
