Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Red Colour Variant Launched In India

A Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi Corporation has launched in the red colour variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The model was previously available in four colour variants: Gold, Rose Gold, Blue and Black. Still, the new colour variant is available for sale only on Mi.com but will go on sale soon on Flipkart. The launch was intimated by the company’s Global VP and India Head Manu Kumar Jain with a tweet. He briefed that the smartphone would go on sale from Tuesday at 11 AM IST and also informed that it is “coming soon” to Flipkart as well.

Specifications: Specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro are same as of other variants. The model features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass. The dual SIM (Nano) smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, mated with Adreno 509 GPU.

The smartphone holds an inbuilt storage of 64 GB which can be expanded via microSD card. Redmi Note 5 Pro runs Android Nougat-based MIUI 9. It comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with a f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor that has a f/2.0 aperture. At the front, a 20-megapixel camera sensor with a selfie LED flash is featured.

Price: The recently launched red colour variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM model while Rs. 16,999/- for the model possessing 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage.

In terms of connectivity, the phone features following options – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The model packs a 4000mAh battery and its dimensions are 158.6×75.4×8.05mm. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro’s red colour variant is designed with a black finish at the front and red finish on all the other sides. According to the latest reports, the Redmi 6 Series in India to comes with Dual 4G VoLTE Support as the company teases.

The first phone of this Chinese electronics company headquartered in Beijing was launched in August 2011. According to the Wikipedia, as of the start of Q2, Xiaomi is the world’s 4th largest smartphone manufacturer.
