Shashi Kapoor, born as Balbir Raj Prithviraj Kapoor on 18 March 1938, is an Indian film actor and film producer. He has also been a film director and assistant director in the Hindi film industry. Shashi Kapoor is a member of the Kapoor family, a film dynasty in India’s Bollywood cinema. He has appeared in a large number of Hindi language films as well as in a few English-language films.

Shashi Kapoor birthday gift arrived a week late. Shashi Kapoor is 77 years old now. On Monday Shashi Kapoor received country’s most prestigious award Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2014. He was also honored with the Padma Bhushan Award by the Government of India in the year 2011.

Shashi Kapoor best known actor. Well known by his performance in films like “Deewar”, “Satyam Shivam Sundaram”, “Trishul” and “Kabhi Kabhie”. Shashi Kapoor acted in 160 films on the whole, in which 12 are in Englishand the rest 148 in Hindi. Shashi Kapoor is not only an actor, he worked as director and assistant director for the debut movie of Sunil Dutt titled ‘Post Box 999′.

Shashi Kapoor was born in 1938, Shashi is a well-known actor and producer from the famous Kapoor family. Along with brothers he stared acting when he was four years, with plays directed and produced by his father Prithviraj Kapoor. He started his film career in the child hood in late 1940. Best performances as child artist were inAag (1948) and Awaara (1951).

Shashi Kapoor made his debut as a leading man in the 1961 film Dharmputra and went on to appear in 116 Hindi films, including 61 films as the solo lead hero and 55 multi star-cast films, 21 films as supporting actor and special appearance in 7 films. He was a very popular actor in Bollywood during the 60s, 70s and until the mid 80s.
