President Pranab Mukherjee has inaugurate the first-ever ‘Festival of Innovation’ in the precincts of Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday. Festival of Innovation is a common platform for the interaction of the various stakeholders, right from students to bankers. President Mukherjee is the first head who is trying to promote innovation.

This eve started by President Mukherjee on 7th march. This platform brings innovation clubs of central universities, grassroots innovators, students, Nobel laureates, experts from the US-based MIT and University of California, two leading institutes in the field of innovation, and bankers for funding the grassroots innovation along with ministers together. That helps India to innovate new things.

This event is week-long festival Nobel laureates, Innovation clubs of Central Universities, and experts for innovation leaders MIT and University of California will be participating in this event. You can find unique ideas that will be showcased in an exhibition focusing on three major subjects — Make in India, Swachch Bharat and Adarsh Gram. This Festival of Innovation will mainly promote micro venture funding by banks based on the lines of micro financing in the Global Round table.

Minister of Science & Technology Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health J P Nadda and Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha will also attend the function.
