The much-anticipated Tamil romantic drama O Kadhal Kanmani directed by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam has a release date – it is all set to release worldwide on April 17. The makers shared the release date on Friday. Double Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman has composed tunes for the movie.

Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nitya Menon in the lead, the film marks Ratnam’s return to the romance genre after a decade. An urban romantic tale, the film is mostly set in Mumbai. The film also marks the reunion of lensman P.C. Sreeram and Ratnam after several years.

A.R.Rahman’s music has generated a big hype for the film and youngsters are raving about the promo visuals featuring the happening lead pair. The film is bound to repeat the Alaipayuthey magic when it releases.

R. Rahman who had been scoring music for this film and this movie is released in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. In Telugu version the movie is titled as “OK Bangaram” where as in Tamil Version the movie is titled as OK Kanmani.

The film will be distributed by Studio Green in Tamil Nadu whereas producer Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations distribute the Telugu dubbed version of the film.

OK Kanmani is a campus love story laced with comedy and marks Mani Ratnam’s return to the romance genre after a decade. Nithya plays an architect and renowned Indian architect BV Doshi plays her professor in the film.
