75-Year-Old Florida Man Kicks Alligator’s Face To Save Daughter’s Pet Dog

Tampa, Florida: A 75-year-old man decided to save a dog, who was attacked by a 7-foot gator, by kicking the wild animal on his head.

Well, this is something you don’t get to hear very often.

Buddy Ackerman, the 75-year-old man, was walking with Osi, a golden retriever dog, when he noticed that something unusual was happening in the pond that is located behind his house.

During an interview with WFTS, Buddy said, “All of a sudden I see the water rippling right along in here, almost seemed like an explosion.”

When he got close, he saw an alligator holding Osi.

Buddy said, “He was squealing a good bit when the thing grabbed him.”

He added, “I go up and slip and fall on my rear end. And the two of us are tugging; alligator is going one way, I’m going the other.”

Buddy said that the 7-foot gator let go of Osi after he kicked it in his snout.

He said the gator “opened his mouth and backed up a little” after he kicked its snout.

Osi, the golden retriever, is actually the pet dog of his daughter, who left the dog with him as she went on a vacation.

Buddy said that he is happy that Osi is safe.

He said, “I don’t know what would have happened with people with little Pekingese or something running around.”

He added, “I guess we’d say goodbye.”

Buddy said that Osi is okay, the dog sustained sore injuries on the area where the gator bite him.

Gator trappers managed to pull the 7-foot gator from the pond and took it away. This was done to enhance the security measures of the residents and the pet animals that live in the area.
