A young boy from Essex, UK, got his first every haircut and ended up donating his hair so they could be used to make wigs for children that are diagnosed with cancer.

The hero boy that we are talking about is Reilly Stancombe.

He managed to grow his hair longer than 2 feet, he said he was inspired by Gareth Bale, a footballer for Real Madrid.

He said he had never been to the barbers to get a trim throughout his life.

Reilly said he saw images of children without any hair due to cancer, so he decided to chop his hair and donate them to the Little Princess Trust.

During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Reilly said that his hair were really long and admitted that it was time to get them cut.

He added:

I wanted to give it away to the people that had cancer and I saw lots of kids fighting cancer who didn’t have any hair.

The haircut of Reilly took place on August 18, 2020, at the Masters & Misters barbers in Clacton-on-Sea.

Reilly said he was scared to get his hair trimmed because he had never experienced it before.

When asked if he loved his new look, Reilly said he “loves it”.

Daisy Canny, the 30-year-old mother of Reilly, said that they were debating in their house if they should have get the hair of Reilly for quite some time now.

For those that are wondering, the decision of cutting his hair was made by the boy himself.

Daisy, the mother of Reilly, said:

He sort of had it shoulder length growing up as a toddler and as he got I older he was inspired by football and he grew it and grew it and grew it and it ended up the two-foot of hair he had.

Reilly also donated £3,300 for the charity.

The money will help research less toxic treatments for paediatric cancers.
