A man in China was caught on cam walking into a hospital with a bloodstained meat cleaver lodged in his forehead.

In another image that was shared, you could see him lying on a bed with the cleaver still embedded in his skull.

The patient, whose identity was not shared with the public, could be seen wearing jeans and a white T-shirt as he arrived in the emergency area of the Chongyang People’s Hospital in the city of Xianning, which is in Central China’s Hubei Province.

An image shows him alive and conscious while being accompanied by 2 male acquaintances.

The shiny stainless steel meat cleaver is lodged deep in his skull after he said to have been hacked by an assailant during an altercation.

The assailant is also unnamed.

According to the Chongyang People’s Hospital, the man came to them on the evening of June 8, 2020, with blood dripping down his face.

The pictures that were shared on social media shows the man lying on a hospital bed with the blade still attached to his forehead as he could be seen waiting for treatment.

The spokesperson of the Chongyang People’s Hospital said that the man had undergone surgery to have the cleaver removed.

The spokesperson confirmed that the operation of the man was successful and that he was not in any life-threatening condition.

Members of the Tiancheng Police Station, who are investigating the case, said that they have launched an official inquiry on how the incident happened.

A police officer said:

We’ve yet to receive any reports related to the incident, but we’re looking into it.

Authorities are yet o to make any arrests for the incident.
