Haridwar Railway Station: Disabled Man Kidnapped And Raped 5-Year-Old Girl
In a press release, the Haridwar police confirmed that a 5-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by a disabled man.
The kidnap and rape happened on July 10, 2019, but the gruesome crime was found out after the parents of the girl tried to mislead the police.
The parents of the 5-year-old girl told the police that their daughter was bitten by a monkey.
The girl was raped by the disabled man, whose identity has not been released, at the Haridwar Railway Station.
According to Anuj Singh, the SHO of the Railway Police, the disabled man was seen abducting the 5-year-old girl from the Platform Number 6 of the Haridway Police Station.
SHO Singh added, “The girl’s parents did not approach the police soon after the rape. AIIMS administration informed us when the case was referred to them. We have registered a case against an unidentified person under the relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act. Three teams have been formed to arrest the accused. The girl is recuperating at present.”
The man took the minor to an isolated area of the railway station and raped her.
The girl sustained injuries on her body during the assault.
The rape case came to light after the parents of the girl tried to mislead the police after they said that the girl sustained the injuries from a monkey attack.
The police forced the girl to be admitted to an AIIMS hospital in the city.
A medical examination was done, and it confirmed that the 5-year-old was raped.
In a CCTV footage that was recovered by the investigating officers, they saw the man walking with a limp while he abducted the child.
The police are currently looking for the man who kidnapped and raped the 5-year-old girl on July 10, 2019.
