Heartbreaking Picture Shows Firefighter And Koala Watching Raging Bushfire

In a heartbreaking picture that was released by the Eden Hills Country Fire Service, a koala and a firefighter can be seen watching a massive bushfire destroying a forest.

The image was posted on the official Facebook Page of the Eden Hills Country Fire Service.

The heartbreaking image shows the fireman with a hose standing in front of the inferno with a koala by his side at the Lobethal vineyard in West of Adelaide.

Catastrophic fire conditions are destroying thousands of houses and thousands of hectares in New South Wales alone.

Over 1,000 houses have been destroyed in NSW and over 1,100 hectares of vineyards have been destroyed in South Australia.

9 people have died in the bushfires, and over 1,000 koalas have been killed by the massive fires.

Firefighters, volunteers, and even house owners are working together to fight the massive fires.

Emergency crews are battling an inferno in Cudlee Creek.

Steven Marshall, the South Australian Premier, said the massive fire has destroyed nearly 72 houses.

In a statement that was released by Premier Marshall, it read, “This is a very sad day for the people of South Australia as many returns to their homes in the Adelaide Hills … and all they find is rubble.”

Nearly 300 firefighters are working together to tackle the massive fire.

The fire is expected to stop from spreading after nearly burning 25,000 hectares of land.

  1. Official reports suggest that over 2,000 houses in Adelaide are without power, with a total fire ban since Monday this week.
