A man from Australia was in shock after he witnessed a fisherman laughing while he cut open the stomach of an endangered baby hammerhead shark.

The fisherman also threw the baby shark into the sea after doing the horrific act.

Ryan Dowling, the man who witnessed the horrific act, said that he saw the fisherman laughing while he cut the shark from its tail to its mouth.

Ryan shared the picture of the shark and the man who did the horrific act on Facebook.

He said, “Saw this cute little baby Hammerhead shark get pulled in at Palm Cove today… Then watched in horror as the redneck grub sliced it in half from tail to mouth and throw it back in….. What the hell is wrong with people today.”

The friends of Ryan were in shock after they saw the post.

Reports suggest that the incident happened at the Palm Cove in Queensland, Australia.

A friend of Ryan, who is also a fisherman, commented on the post, he said, “As a fisherman, I’m f*cking mortified when I hear things like that. It’s just wrong to do to any animal, I hate sharks when I’m fishing as they steal my hard earn baits and hooks but when we land them they are quickly dehooked and release to go harass some more backpackers.”

Dowling was also interviewed by Yahoo News Australia, where Ryan recalled how the fisherman did the horrific act while laughing.

Ryan explained, “He laughed as he pulled it in and retrieved his hook. He then pulled out a knife, cut it from its tail right through to its head slicing it in half before throwing it back in the water.”

Ryan added, “There’s no need to kill it, It’s wrong to kill a baby shark.”

Unfortunately, Ryan did not get the chance to report the horrific act to the police.

Ryan has reached out to a number of fishing groups on Facebook and is currently looking for the man who did the cruel and horrific act.
