Police Always On Duty: Detective Stops Press Conference To Rugby Tackle A Man Who Harassed A Teenage Girl

Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards, a known detective, was praised for showing that the police are really always on duty. The Detective stopped his press conference to stop a man by tackling him. The man allegedly harassed a teenage girl.

Sergeant Daren was giving a media briefing outside a court when suddenly he heard someone shout behind him.

The next thing he sees was a man running and another man chasing him and was yelling at him.

Daren Edwards was a former rugby player and unfortunately, the 39-year-old man did not know this.

The man who Daren stopped allegedly made rude comments to a teenager and the man who was chasing the man who was seen running was the father of the teenage girl.

The brave act of Sergeant Daren was caught on cam.

The incident happened outside the Maroochydore Magistrates Court in Queensland.

The father of the teenage girl was chasing the man, he could be heard saying “run” and “he is being inappropriate to my daughter”.

The man was at the Maroochydore Magistrates Court in Queensland for an existing charge.

The Independent reports that the man interrupted a news conference before the press conference of Sergeant Daren.

The man allegedly walked in front of a camera and said that the police are corrupt and disgusting.

Laszlo, the man who was chased by Sergeant Daren, said: “Police is not good at all, the police is corrupt, disgusting and they are abusing innocent people like myself.”

After Sergeant Daren tackled the man, you can see he had grazes in his head.

He even manages to drop a joke and said that his ‘suit was ready for dry-cleaning anyway’.

He added, “It’s just one of those things. You never know what the job will bring.”

Sergeant Daren also said that it had been a long time since he got to make an arrest that is really dramatic and full of action.

Laszlo, the man who was tackled by Sergeant Daren was charged with Public Nuisance and Stalking offenses.
