Prison Guards In Brazil Catch Drug Trafficker Inmate Dressed Up As His Daughter While Trying To Escape

Since the day prisons were made, a number of people and high profile people have tried to break out, many tried and many failed.

Clauvino da Silva, a drug trafficker based in Rio de Janeiro tried to sneak out the most notorious prison in Rio by wearing something that would make him look like his 19-year-old daughter.

The video of Silva stripping in front of the security guards was shared online and since it was shared, the story has made headlines everywhere.

He was caught by the guards when he requested the return of his daughter’s ID card at the prison entrance. The officers saw his fake costume and asked him to remove all of his clothes in front of the camera.

Silva is currently sentenced to serve 73 inside prison after he pleaded guilty in being involved in the Red Command Drug Faction.

This is not the first time Silva tried to escape prison.

In January 2013, Silva was one of the 31 prisoners who tried to dig a tunnel out of the same prison complex through the sewers.

They were successful, but after spending a month in the streets, Silva was arrested again after he tried to control the western districts of Shantytown.

Reports suggest that Silva has been moved to the solitary confinement of the prison.

Silva is unlikely to face extra prison time, this is because he was unsuccessful and was not involved in any violence when he tried to escape.

The 19-year-old daughter of Silva, Ana Gabriele Leandro da Silva, will be charged with abetting prison escape.

If found guilty, the 19-year-old daughter of Silva can face up to 2 years in prison.
