We’ve seen kids running into journalists during live broadcasts or even worse things, but nothing beats a TV anchor caught cheating while he was doing an interview live.

Alfonso Merlos, a news anchor, has been busted cheating on his reality star girlfriend after a naked woman appeared in the background of his live chat.

The incident happened when Merlos was appearing live on the Spanish YouTube channel Estado de Alarma.

Alfonso has been dating Marta Lopez, a Big Brother Spain Star, and in the video, the woman is not her.

The man was caught cheating by eagle-eyed viewers, who saw the woman passing-by.

The woman was later identified as Alexia Rivas, a fellow Spanish journalist.

He was later forced to address the entire situation publicly.

Merlos offered an apology, where he claimed that he and Marta were no longer seeing each other.

During an interview on The Ana Rosa show, he said:

If you think that my attitude has not been correct or that there are things that I have not done well, I have no problem asking for forgiveness, although my goal was not to harm someone else.

Alexia, the woman in the background, said that she and the man had been seeing each other for over 3 weeks.

She confirmed that the man is single.
