US Man Charged With Battery For Grabbing Reporter During Live Broadcast
A man has been arrested by the police after he was caught on cam grabbing a TV reporter during a live broadcast.
Not only that, but the man was also heard shouting a profane and disturbing statement.
Gaynor Hall, a TV reporter for the WGN-TV, was giving a weather report in Shorewood, Illinois, on Saturday evening when a man ran up to her and forcibly grabbed her around the shoulders.
The incident, which happened on May 23, 2020, was caught on cam.
In the video of the incident, a man could be heard shouting “f*ck her right in the p*ssy”.
That statement is usually used to harass female reporters.
Gaynor Hall posted the video on social media and shared a screenshot of the man’s face from the report.
She said:
It was not funny. You violated my personal space. You grabbed me. You scared me. Was it worth it?
Hall later confirmed that the man in the video has been identified and arrested for his cruel actions.
The Shorewood Police Department confirmed that they had arrested Eric Farina, a 20-year-old man, in connection with the incident.
In a statement that was released by the police, they said that Farina grabbed the reporter around her shoulders and uttered a disturbing and profane statement.
Farina made a full confession and was charged with disorderly conduct and battery by the police.
The 20-year-old man was released on a $2,500 recognizance bond.
Before Farina was arrested by the police, Jackie Bange, a colleague of Hall, shared the picture of the suspect, asking their followers if they could help them identify the man.
To the good people of Shorewood: do you recognize this guy?? He just assaulted our reporter during her 10pm live shot. He’s an absolute idiot and should be charged with assault!

The best thing about this is that the man was identified and was arrested by the police.
