A man was shot and killed by the gun that he was playing with when he was waiting for a haircut at his own house.

The incident happened at around 6:30 am inside a house on Oakcrest Circle.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, 2 men went to a convenience store and returned to their house.

The man that was going to have the haircut sat down on a bucket outside his bedroom door as he waited for the haircut.

According to the police, the man started to play with his firearm.

The other man inside the house said the scene was normal to him as he often does it.

The man said the gun discharged and fatally wounded the man that was holding it.

The man was pronounced dead when the first responding officer arrived on the scene.

The police said there is a possibility that the man that died in the bizarre incident could have been under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or both when he shot himself while waiting for the haircut.

The office of the Sheriff is calling the death of the man a horrible accident after the statements of the witness and evidence was gathered.

The office of the sheriff did not release the names of the 2 men that were involved in the incident.

The agency did not say what type of weapon was used in the incident.
