Man Steals Camera Equipment From Shop And Tries To Sell It Back To The Shop Owner

A man from Los Angeles reportedly stole camera equipment from a Riverside business on Wednesday this week and tried to sell the same items back to the same owner of the shop later that day.

The burglary was part of a number of stranger series of events that got reported to the police at around 10 am Wednesday in the 4300 block of Market Street.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the shop owner was walking near the business when a man approached him and offered to sell him some camera equipment that looked familiar.

At that time, the owner of the shop had no idea about the incident.

The owner recognized the items as equipment from his shop, so he returned to his store and realized someone had broken into the business.

The owner, whose identity was not shared with the public, reported the theft to the police.

The equipment was worth several hundred dollars.

Responding officers chased 25-year-old Johnny Robles, who is from Indio, and caught him in a fenced area.

He was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and probation violations.

He is held on around $10,000 bond.

The stolen camera equipment was returned to the shop.
