A 24-year-old man from Thailand who has a shoe fetish reportedly stole over 126 pairs of flip-flops so that he could have sex with them, said the police.

24-year-old Theerapat Klaiya stole flip-flops from his neighbors so he could have sexual intercourse with them.

The incident happened in Nonthaburi, Central Thailand.

Officers set up a CCTV outside the house of the victim and identified him through a camera.

When they raided his house, authorities found a lot of shoes, which he claimed he had been collecting for over 2 years.

Klaiya said that he would wear them around his house as it turned him on.

He also said that he cuddled, kissed, and rubbed the shoes on his body before having sex with them.

The local police said that his collection included dozens of different brands, sizes, and colors of shoes.

All of them were already well worn.

The vast array of footwear was laid out in front of the Nonthaburi Police Station during a press conference, which was carried out on Monday (May 25, 2020).

Klaiya admitted 3 charges of nighttime theft and snatching, possessing a digital transceiver without permission, and violating the coronavirus curfew.

Ekkaphop Prasitwattanachai, Major Colonel, said that this was not the first offense of Klaiya.

He said:

After we arrested the suspect, we also found out that he had already been arrested last year for stealing flip-flops in another district. He fully admitted stealing the sandals for lewd purposes, so will be detained at the station until a court appearance for prosecutors to decide on the next part of the legal process for him.

It looks like somebody is getting back their lost flip-flops from last year.
