US Mayor Finds Scared Woman Hiding Inside His Home’s Cellar

Bowling Green, Kentucky: A mayor from Kentucky was inside his house and heard sounds coming out, so upon investigating he found out that a woman was hiding inside his home’s cellar.

Bruce Wilkerson, the mayor of Bowling Green, said that he found the woman on April 22, 2020, morning after hearing noises and smelling cigarette smoke coming outside a house that he was renovating.

Upon investigating, the mayor found out that there were traces of blood on the cellar’s doors and a bag with women’s leggings.

He then saw a woman going back to the cellar after the electricity in his house went out, said the Bowling Green Daily News, a local news agency.

A young woman, who had dark hair, told him that she was hiding from someone.

The woman ran away into the street and did not come back.

Mayor Wilkerson said he does not have any clue about when the woman started to live in his cellar.

The woman did not steal anything from the house, confirmed the mayor.

Wilkerson said that he wanted the people of his city to know about the truth before a story would come out in the news and would say that he had “a lady locked up” inside his cellar.

The Bowling Green Police have been informed about the incident but they have not identified the suspect.
