Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui Teaches Critics On How To Decide If A Movie Is ‘HIT Or FLOP’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, much acclaimed and hailed as one of the India’s most versatile actors is well known for the eccentric roles he chooses all the way. Starting with ‘Manjhi-The Mountain Man’ he never left a stone unturned in justifying his role, he often leveled the story of the respective movie with his contemporary acting throughout the movie, irrespective of the length or the screen presence he gets.

However, despite his immense efforts for the betterment of any of his movies, his movies often make a limited market. Nawazuddin’s recent flick Babumoshai Bandookbaaz has faced a similar fate, the movie is poorly received by critics, they went quoting the movie as a FLOP.

The actor didn’t give up that easily, he straight forwardly went tweeting his opinions on critics. He, on the face, stated that the movie can be called hit or flop based upon its collections, and for a low budget film like this, the results are quite well and it can’t be called a flop.

Nawazuddin has said that the budget of the movie is Rs 5 crores and within the first two days of release the movie garnered over Rs 7 crores which replicate that the movie is already a box office success.

His tweets clearly indicate that he is satisfied with the success of the film, but on the other hand not very happy with the way critics are tagging his film. He’s not liking that Babumoshai Bandookbaaz is being termed.

In his first tweet he said:

Then he added, “Thank You Soo much for making a small budget film HIT #BabumoshaiProfitbaaz”, well, he said it right.

On the top of that, Nawazuddin in a recent interview about the movie was seen saying, “A few in the industry, who claim to know everything about the film, have shared wrong information and declared the film a flop. It is important to put the budget and facts in front.”

He actually made a point. Imagine the budget of the movie is Rs 100 crores, and the movie collected Rs 60 crores; what can we call it? is it still a hit? No! it is not, and that is what he has been trying to convey to the critics out there.
