The actor Rana Daggubati, was last seen in the block buster hit movie Bahubali. He portrayed the role of the king in the film. Rana captured the attention of most of the filmmakers with his excellent acting. Now he is rejoicing the success of the movie Bahubali. Soon Rana will be seen playing a new role in the upcoming movie.

According to the Tollywood sources, it is revealed that Rana will be seen portraying the role of naval officer in his upcoming Telugu project, which is based on the mysterious sinking of the PNS Ghazi submarine.

The film yet to be titled and it will be directed by new director Sankalp Reddy. The story of the film revolves around an executive naval officer who belong to Indian Indian submarine ‘S21’ and his team remained under water for 18 days.

Rana To Play Naval Officer Role

The film will explore all the events which lead to the sinking of ‘PNS Ghazi’, which was destroyed by Pakistani submarine during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It was said that the story of the film is partially based on the book “Blue Fish”, penned by Sankalp himself.

A source close to the actor revealed that, “Rana really liked the story and has given his in principle nod. Sankalp is currently giving final touches to the script. The pre-production work has already begun and the team plans to start shooting soon”.

The film will be produced under the banner of PVP Cinema and it is going to be India’s first submarine warfare movie. According to the sources of the film, it is revealed that the well known actor Prakash Raj has been approached to play a pivotal in the movie.He added that the lead role was initially offered to Rajeev Khandelwal, but now the Bahubali fame actor Rana Daggubati will be seen featuring the role of a naval officer in the upcoming Telugu film.
