Ranveer Singh Regrets HUMILIATING Shahid Kapoor By Saying That ‘He Would Have Done KAMINEY Better’

The journey of Padmaavat started the day it was entitled ‘Padmavati’. With no stone unturned, Bhansali has won the millions of hearts with the glorified past of Rajputs. The film is getting appreciated a lot both from the audience as well as from critics and actors Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone have given their 100 percent to the characters.

Padmaavat

There are several speculations that went saying that there are disputes between Ranveer and Shahid and the same has continued till the end of shooting because of which they even promoted the movie individually. Just as the movie got its release, Ranveer bagged all the attention followed by Deepika, and it is Shahid who was deserted both in terms of shooting and post-release times.

This made Shahid furious and in a press conference, he opened about his character and how hard he used to work for the film. He went on to say he would have done the role of Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji differently than Ranveer Singh in the film.

Shahid said: “Of course. Which actor would not wish to play a character like Khilji in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film? You know, once on Koffee with Karan, Ranveer said he would have done my role in Kaminey better than me… I would have done Khilji differently.”

When asked about the same, Ranveer Singh, the handsome hunk of Bollywood who played the role of Alauddin Khilji, regrets humiliating Shahid Kapoor by saying that he would have done Kaminey better than him. In fact, Ranveer Singh even pointed out that Shahid Kapoor says that he would have done Alauddin Khilji differently was only stating the obvious.

Ranveer regrets humiliating Shahid Kapoor

Ranveer said, “I think in my first year I was very arrogant. In retrospect, that is not something I should have said. I regret saying that (I could have done Kaminey better than Shahid Kapoor.) What’s wrong with saying that (Shahid Kapoor says that he would have done Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat differently), it’s stating the obvious. Every actor brings something unique to the table, so every actor will approach a part in his or her own way.”

Well, after Ranveer’s statement we hope that war gets over as Ranveer took a safe side by regretting on his statement. Padmaavat is doing very well at the box office after facing violent protests. The film has earned over 100 crores in its first weekend and also crossed 200 crore mark.
