Boney Kapoor Organizes A Prayer Meet For Sri Devi In Chennai.
Sri Devi Left this world on 24th February 2018 in Dubai. Boney Kapoor organized a condolence meeting at Celebrations club on 28th February and later at done her cremation at Vile Parle. Boney Kapoor was earlier seen immersing Sri Devi ashes at Rameshwaram along with daughters Khushi and Janhvi and her last rites were performed with Anil Kapoor and Manish Malhotra. They immersed the rest of the ashes at Haridwar.
Boney is now conducting a Prayer Meet for Sri Devi at Chennai as she was a Tamilian. The condolence meeting will be held on 11th March 2018, at Hotel Crowne Plaza in Adayar. Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor reached Chennai on March 10th. Every Technician and actor in the Tamil industry will be seen marking their presence except for Rajinikanth who had left for the Himalayas for a Week of spiritual cleansing before entering into politics. Kamal Hassan took the responsibility of the meet as Sri Devi and he shared a close bond. A similar meet was organized by Tollywood film industry whereby all the actors reminisced the moments spent with Sri Devi on sets. From Nagarjuna to Ram Gopal Varma everyone marked their presence and revealed about the bond they shared with the actress.
Sri Devi who went to Dubai to attend nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding had an untimely and unfortunate death by accidental drowning in the bathtub. When people first heard about the news they thought it was a hoax as she didn’t show any symptoms of illness and her sudden demise shocked everyone as it was first stated as death due to cardiac arrest. Later on, after a thorough investigation, it was revealed, She lost consciousness and slipped into the bathtub and the reason behind her demise is an accidental drowning.
