Remember Gaurav Arora? That guy from Splitsvilla season 8 with 8-pack abs?

Gaurav Arora is no more handsome boy now. He had stunned everyone with his transformation into Gauri Arora. Yes, it’s true.

Gaurav Arora was a model, a male one when he featured in the eighth season of Spilitsvilla. He had become famous after featuring in Spilitsvilla reality show. ‘She’, yes you read that right, no gender mistake there. She has transformed her personality completely and is now a female model after undergoing sex change operation. Gaurav chose to adapt womanhood and got a reconstruction surgery done.

He has been in the news even now because his fans just can’t get over the beautiful transformation. He was one of the few people who, on national television, declared of being a bisexual. Gaurav turned Gauri has attended India’s Next Top Model 3 for auditions. Dabboo Ratnani, Malaika Arora, Neeraj Gaba and Milind Soman are the judges of the show and they were moved on hearing Gauri’s story.

Gaurav’s transformation into Gauri wasn’t a child’s play and she went through a lot of pain to adopt this unusual change in her personality. She has gone through a lot, endured a lot in recent times, but has shown tremendous courage to live her life the way she wanted to. Last year, the man underwent a sex-change operation, and now he has made a comeback on TV as Gauri Arora.

Earlier, he opened up about his sexual preference during Splitsvilla and also shared about his plans of undergoing a sex change operation. Talking about what made him take this big step, and how supportive her parents were at this, Gauri won the hearts of judges.

While speaking to the judges, Gauri opened up about her journey and said, “Being a woman is a gift and I have gifted myself a vagina. Three years ago I was a male model. I was on a Men’s cover magazine. Then I did a show with MTV as a male model. I had 8 pack abs, 16-inch biceps. I was a fit model… I still feel nervous because I have broad shoulders, broad arms. I am growing into a woman and I am loving it. I am becoming feminine day by day.”

She further added, “There was a lot going inside me since my childhood but I didn’t know whom to speak to. But, my parents have been a constant support. They are God to me. It was my Dad who took me to Bangkok. We went to Thailand. Only my Dad was there with me. It must have been difficult for him too to see his son transforming into a girl. I used to tell my dad that, ‘Papa, it’s really very painful, it’s impossible.”

When asked if she is comfortable wearing a bikini on the show? She said, “My boyfriend and my Dad have told me not to wear a bikini because this is my first show as a woman and they don’t want the world to think that I did all this (transformation) just for this show.”
