Use of VFX effects in the Indian movies had been quite common these days. VFX is a technology that involves the integration of live-action footage and generated imagery to create environments which look realistic. But it is expensive.

For example, Baahubali, the movie was mostly shot with VFX effects. This technology is helpful in creating a visual which is actually not present while shooting. It takes a lot of time to make a perfect shot.

But VFX effect is also used in few scenes like kissing. Yes, you read it correctly. You must have often wondered how these actors get so comfortable with each other that they can kiss.

In K. V. Anand’s Tamil film ‘Maattrraan’ starred Surya and Kajal Agarwal, there was a scene in the theatre where the duo had to kiss each other. While watching the movie, the scene looks very natural, but it was shot using VFX effects. The behind scenes video of the movie was roaming on the Internet.

Both Kajal and Surya kissed pieces of styrofoam, with face tracking sensors, that were then merged together to get the final outcome. Hence, VFX became an alternative option for the actors who don’t want to kiss their co-stars. Now, this technology is being used in many movies.
